Bob Heussler is a radio sports broadcaster at WFAN in New York for the past thirty years. He made regular appearances on the Mike and the Mad Dog and Mike's On programs starting in 1993. He also did radio play-by-play of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun.
Bob has been behind the microphone for Fairfield Stags men's basketball on WVOF for 34 years. This coming season will be his 35th year calling Stags basketball games. Heussler was the Connecticut Radio Network’s UConn men’s basketball play-by-play announcer for three seasons, beginning in 1989-90, The Dream Season. His radio call of Tate George's game-winning shot in the 1990 East Regional semifinals against Clemson is one of the most famous in college basketball history. Heussler is a 1977 graduate of the University of Bridgeport.
